About Robert Lorenz

Robert Lorenz is a restaurant operator, management trainer, and the founder of RestaurantGPS.

Across more than 30 years in restaurant operations, Robert has supported over 45 restaurant openings and led operations generating more than $50 million in annual revenue. His experience includes developing managers, leading multi-unit operations, improving restaurant performance, and building practical systems that help teams respond to the realities of a busy shift.

Robert created RestaurantGPS to close the gap between knowing restaurant-management principles and applying them under pressure. Its training teaches managers how to recognize developing problems, identify root causes, make better decisions, and verify whether corrective action worked.

The RestaurantGPS Philosophy

His operating philosophy is simple: The P&L is the scoreboard. The restaurant floor is the game. Financial reports reveal the result, but managers improve that result by understanding the behaviors, decisions, and systems that create it.

RestaurantGPS gives new and developing managers a practical framework for building that understanding—so they can lead confidently, protect profitability, improve the guest experience, and solve problems without constant supervision.
